Born in 1998, Melissa Faucher is an artist currently living in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, where she dedicates all spare time to her passion of producing art. She began her own art business during her studies at Erasmus where she acquired a Bachelors in Humanities with Art and a Masters in Management. Melissa’s bold art is an impressive interpretation of contemporary pop art influenced by her surroundings and cultures she grew up around. Her most recent Kaseko series is inspired by her childhood in Suriname and the music her grandfather composed. She wants her art to make you feel like you are part of the ‘feestje’; from the colors, to the dancing to the music. Furthermore, her distinct style of portraiture is inspired by her love for capturing faces with influences of nature, cultures and beliefs.
