About

Being inspired by her surroundings with the exploration of colours from the tropics, where she was born and grew up, in a multi-ethnic community, she was constantly driven to create Art! A course in ceramics at the school of “Ons Erf” in Suriname from 1987 till 1990, did not give her the satisfaction she needed. In 2002, she started as an autodidact to paint on everything she could lay her hand on such as canvas, board and ceramics, in abstract expressionistic style. Her passion for fashion, dance, sports, music and nature gave her a variety of themes for her Artwork. Effortlessly, she created with passion and emotions an exploration of colour and forms, that is known from her work. She also wants the viewer to share the feeling she experienced while making the artwork. To have them not only view it from a distance but also close by.
