Arishta Sewrattan, 23, is an artist from Suriname who focuses on painting what she finds beautiful and enjoyable. Her style revolves around depicting life and form, often by painting flowers and using bright colours and contrasts. She playfully explores different colours and lets her creativity run wild in each work. Her paintings exude simplicity and tranquility, but also contain a sense of vibrancy and energy. Her work, on display at the National Art Fair, is a vibrant exploration of colour and nature. Besides her own artistic practice, Arishta teaches art and drawing classes to children aged 5 to 11 at G-ArtBlok, where she inspires young talents to explore their creativity.
